Our school used to conduct fancy dress competitions for students every year in the annual day and the children will be decorated in various costumes and the entire school will look colorful. In this year there were a lot of fancy dress and even beggar fancy dress and that of Tribal were also present. The parents work for a day and think a lot to design the costume and most of the girls were dressed like angels and the children really looked like angels in the costume. Then the usual fancy dress of an army man, freedom fighter, sports star were present. A girl suddenly appeared fully in a different dress with some students pushing some thing like a rock and the girl was dressed in the form of Mermaid Halloween Costume. The girl attracted the judges as it was unique and dressing like a Mermaid Halloween Costume with the dress fully covering the feet in the form of a fish resembled the mermaids and the ancient Mermaid Halloween Costume really attracted the rest of the audience and received a lot of acknowledgments from the gathering and undoubtedly the Mermaid Halloween Costume was selected the best and was awarded the fancy dress. The parents of the child were fantasy lovers and they told that they wanted their child to wear the ancient Mermaid Halloween Costume to depict their imagination and hence made their child wear the Mermaid Halloween Costume and as we thought, our daughter won the first prize said the delightful parents. Every one praised the parents for their idea and unique thinking. Such type of fancy dress competitions reveal the creativity and innovation of the parents and the children and the awards form a great recognition to the children and the parents and these type of competitions will enable a smooth relationship between the parents and the school authorities and also involve parents in the competitions and bring their child hood experiences to the stage. The Mermaid Halloween Costume that won the first prize was liked by most of the crowd as it was different and unique and also the school was successful in giving the parents a chance to reveal their dream and make the dream a reality and expose it to a large crowd. On asking the child about the Mermaid Halloween Costume, she replied that she wanted to see a real mermaid but her parents made her itself a mermaid.
